Whaddon Healthcare put the safety of our patients at the heart of everything we do. We have therefore placed orders to ensure all of our patents can receive both a flu and covid vaccine.

Flu Vaccinations

Flu vaccination provides the best protection against an unpredictable virus which infects many people and can cause serious illness and death each year. With COVID-19 still in circulation it is really important to reduce the number of those becoming ill with flu this winter to help protect them, the NHS and social care services. Research also shows that if you get both flu and COVID-19 at the same time you may be more seriously ill.

We will be running drop-in Flu Clinics on the below dates, there is no need to book, just turn up to either of our site locations, clinic details are below:

Saturday 23rd September, 08:00 – 12:00

• Whaddon Medical Centre, 25 Witham Court, Tweed Drive, Bletchley, MK3 7QU
• Water Eaton Health Centre, Fern Grove, Bletchley, Milton Keynes, MK2 3HN

Eligible Patients

• Anyone over the age of 65
• Under 18s who are clinically at risk
• Age 2 – 3 year olds

Saturday 7th October, 08:00 – 12:00

The vaccination is free and recommended yearly for those most at risk from flu.

Covid Vaccinations

Anyone who gets COVID-19 can become seriously ill or have long-tern effect (Long Covid). The Covid-19 vaccines are the best way to protect yourself and others.

Research has shown the vaccine helps:

• Reduce your risk of getting seriously ill or dying from Covid-19
• Reduce your risk of catching or spreading Covid-19
• Protect against Covid-19 variants

Eligibility

Anyone who is eligible for a flu vaccination will also be eligible for an Autumn Covid Booster vaccination.

Clinics

We are starting our covid clinics from Wednesday 20th September and will run them weekly at our Water Eaton branch.

How to Book

Patients will be sent a text message which will enable them to book online when they are due.
